The US Open bowling tournament is ongoing in Indianapolis. One of the bowlers is Mookie Betts. After rolling 16 games, he was tied for 19th of 36 bowlers. He was averaging 192.75. The bowler he’s tied with, Jason Belmonte has won 14 major tournaments and been the PBA bowler of the year 7 times. Betts also bowled a 300 on his birthday.
Bowling is one of those things that everyone seems to think they can do. Once upon a time I bowled—a lot. My best game was 256, and I averaged in the 150’s. Just another thing Betts is way better than me at. It’s fine. I bet I’m better at suturing than him!
