CWS Update

The first two days of the College World Series are in the books; all eight teams have played once. I mentioned after the Super Regionals that four unseeded teams had made it to the CWS. How they line up for the tournament is according to how it would be if the top eight seeds all made it to Omaha (1 v8, 2v7, etc). Thus Friday unneeded Oklahoma played #5 Texas A&M after having already eliminated #4 Florida. OU won 13-8. Then unseeded Notre Dame beat #9 Texas. Today unseeded Arkansas crushed #2 Stanford 17-2, and Ole Miss beat #14 Auburn 5-1. All four unseeded teams won. Over then two days Texas will play Texas A&M and Stanford will play Auburn in elimination games, sending two seeded teams home. Meanwhile the winners bracket games will be Oklahoma vs Notre Dame tomorrow and Arkansas vs Ole Miss Monday.
