Yesterday he was there…and caught the grand slam hit by Trevor Story as part of a 7-3 Red Sox win over the Mariners. Gomes at first planned to have Story sign the ball and keep it. Instead, he signed it and gave it to Story as it was his first grand slam with the Sox.
