Today Miguel Cabrera became the 28th major leaguer with 500 home runs. It was a 400 foot solo shot in the 6th that brought the Tigers into a 1-1 tie with the Blue Jays. The Tigers ultimately won 5-4 in 11 innings.
With 46 more hits, he will become just the seventh member of the 3000 hit/500 home run club—expect that in the first half of next season.
