The A’s traded with the Cubs to obtain relief pitcher Andrew Chafin and his 2.06 ERA. They sent lefty outfielder Greg Deichman, who’s hitting .300 with a .432 OBP at AAA this year, and an A level pitcher in his first year in pro ball. Deichman is better than any of the players the Pirates got yesterday for All Star outfielder Adam Frazier, BTW.
