Padres Acquire Adam Frazier

Trade season continues, and the Padres noticed the “for sale” sign in Pittsburgh. They strengthened their lineup for their playoff push by obtaining Adam Frazier from the Pirates in exchange for infielder Tucupita Marcano, outfielder Jack Suwinski and right-hander Michell Miliano.

Marcano has split time between the Padres and the minors this season, hitting .272 at AAA but struggling at .182 in San Diego. Suwinski has hit .269’at AA this year. Miliano is pitching at A level this year.

Adam Frazier, meanwhile, is hitting .324 with 2.9 WAR. He also likely feels like he’s been rescued.
