Noah Syndergaard was pulled in the first inning of his rehab start this week. He threw only 16 pitches. His change up was clocked in the 80’s, and he experienced elbow soreness. He underwent Tommy John Surgery in March, 2020. The Mets were hoping to get him back by the end of June. Instead, he’s being shut down for six weeks before resuming any baseball activities.
His earliest chance at free agency is next year.
