Zach Plesac’s start on Sunday didn’t go well. As a result, he got pulled early. Frustrated, he ripped his t-shirt off in the clubhouse…and accidentally hit his right (throwing) hand on a folding chair. The next day it had become swollen. X-rays have shown a nondisplaced fracture of the thumb.
He’s supposed to see a hand specialist later to determine prognosis. Based on the report of it being nondisplaced, expect 6 weeks out, or so.
This pitcher from the team from somewhere in Ohio is not the first and will not be the last to be banged around by Your Red Hot Beloved Twins.
