He Said, She Said – It’s The World Series!

Scouts: And we are officially underway in the 2020 World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Los Angeles Dodgers. This is the moment we have all been waiting for. The best of the best. The creme dela creme. MLB’s gamepage isn’t loading correctly for me, so for today we’ll be using Prof’s personal favorite, ESPN.

Rays 3, Dodgers 8

LA got it started off in a way that I’m pretty sure anyone could have guessed. With a homer in the 4th, this one was hit by Cody Bellinger good for a pair of runs.

Kevin Kiermaier struck back with a homer of his own in the top of the 5th. Unfortunately for the Rays, that was the closest they’d get to taking a lead as that’s when the Dodgers exploded for 4 runs in the 5th and two more in the 6th.

The Dodgers looked untouchable Monday night. Cody Bellinger homered despite dislocating his shoulder Sunday night. Mooky Betts was all over the place with a homerun, a single, a walk, and two stolen bases. Clayton Kershaw shook off the October slumps, struck out 8 and allowed just a single run over 6 innings. Max Muncy picked up a pair of RBI’s on a pair of hits.

Now, the Rays need to make a statement in Game 2 before they find themselves in a massive hole. Game 2 will feature Blake Snell for the Rays facing off against Tony Gonsolin for the Dodgers.

  1. Hey, it took me altogether, with intermediate efforts allowing for physical recovery, about 24 hours to complete the walkway removal of a 10-20-20 snowfall of 5 – 7 inches. But I’m done. How delightful.
