Clayton Kershaw got pulled from making his opening day start, and he went on the 10-day IL. The problem: his back. Again. He’s missed time repeatedly the past couple years. Unfortunately, people with back injuries are more likely to have more…so this is likely not the last time either. The 3-time Cy Young winner is certain to ultimately make it to the HoF, but I’d really like to see him a productive player beyond the end of his current contract next year.
And a person with habitual back issues I can confirm. And the pain can be absolutely unbearable. It feels like there is nothing that anyone can do.

My mind isn’t working today. I read this comment three times trying to determine WHICH back issues you were referencing. Time? Baltimore Sun? MAD Magazine?
I think Gator’s absence has reduced our collective IQ significantly.

Kershaw on IL and now Strasburg scratched? Maybe that Q about pitchers or batters having the advantage in “short” spring is being answered?
