Yasiel Puig has reportedly received an offer of a contract to play for the Orioles this year. He played his first 6 years for the Dodgers and split last year for the Reds and Indians. He did not receive a contract offer from the Indians although they have no better outfielders than him. They weren’t alone though, as the offseason went by connecting him only to over seas opportunities. As such, one would think he’d immediately sign any MLB offer made…but we will see.
Update: Sorry, O’s. Reports are out today that Puig is instead signing with the Braves, taking Nick Markakis’ spot on their roster since he’s opting out of playing this season.
Well said. We shall indeed see, as the obvious choice has never been apparent to Puig, who beats to his own rhythm.
