Noah Syndergaard is expected to undergo Tommy John surgery due to a UCL tear in his pitching elbow. His 2020 season is now done, and he’s likely out until June or so next year. Besides sucking for him, it’s also a significant blow to the Mets’ hopes of trying to compete with the Nats, Braves, and Phillies.
I think 2020 season should be in quotation marks.

Ironic that so far our 2020 vision is blank.

I could see how twirling that heavy hammer around on a thong could blow out your elbow. Hell, when I was practicing falconry twirling the lure, which is a little cloth bag of buckshot with feathers glued to it and a piece of meat strapped to the top, did a number on mine. The moral: spin, don’t twirl.
