Yesterday was the first Grapefruit League game for the Astros, vs the Nationals. Apparently, security guards confiscated many signs meant to heckle the Astros. That didn’t prevent the cascade of boos the team received, nor did the absence of Altuve or Correa from the lineup.
Max Scherzer took the Hill for the Nationals, pitched 2 innings and struck out 2, allowing 0 runs. Then, Florida being Florida, the skies opened, and the rest of the game was rained out.

Meanwhile, the Tigers won both games from the split squad match ups today. It’s all downhill from here!

I have some snow if you’d like to do some downhill sledding.

If you’re talking downhill like Franz Klammer in the ’76 Olympics in Innsbruck I’m all for things going downhill. Unfortunately with the Tiggers it’s more likely to be downhill like this….

We lost 11-1 today. Clearly, the Astros are already in prime sign stealing form.
