Michael Felger Is A Piece Of Shit

There are some truly great people in this world.  And there are some people who try really hard to be good, but somehow lose their way.  And then there are the truly terrible, despicable people, who don’t deserve to live in the same society as the rest of us.  Michael Felger is one of those people.  Michael Felger who is the wost of the worst that Boston “media” decided to make a little name for himself, by jumping on the still warm corpse of a very beloved man, a man who is highly regarded by anyone who met him.  Michael Felger decided to make it completely and unequivocally clear to the world that he is one heaping piece of shit.

Felger went onto his sports radio show yesterday and rant and rave about Roy Halladay and made it very clear that he felt Halladay was a “moron” who “deserved to die. ”

  • “It just sorta angers me. You care that little about your life? Or the life of your family? Your little joyride is that important to you?”

  • “‘[In a voice mocking Halladay] Weeeee! Weeeee! Yeah man look at the G-force on this! I’m Maverick. Yeah man, look at this it’s so cool!’ And you die. Splat. And it’s over. So you’re that guy? You have to do that?”

  • “To the point, now, where that guy is like the bad guy to me. You got this family, and you’re gonna screw around in this little toy plane?”

  • “‘[In a voice mocking Halladay] Weee! Oh look I just landed on the water, everybody. I’m gonna tweet it!’ Splat. You’re dead. Two kids. Moron.”

  • “I find that offensive, that you are that cavalier about life.”

  • “I’m sorry dude, you’re on your own. I got no sympathy for you.”

  • “If that’s how you’re wired, and that’s how you die? Bon voyage.”

  • “I don’t blame the plane for the fact that the guy wanted to dive-bomb through mountains. Idiot!”

  • “Idiot!”

  • “If I die helicopter skiing, you have the right to do the exact same thing I’m doing to Roy Halladay. He got what he deserved.”

What kind of heartless, callous, piece of shit do you have to be to do something like this?  What could possibly possess you to think this is in any way a good idea?

You may listen below, that is if you really feel the need to cultivate some burning hatred, or otherwise want to vomit.

So, please everyone let’s gather around, and offer up one group FUCK YOU to Michael Felger.  I know I’m going to log into Twitter to tell all of his sponsors I will never purchase their products again, so long as they choose to support a asshole like you.

  1. I couldn’t bring myself to write about it. My blood was boiling.

I will not watch the video. My ex probably will, because he is qualified as a pilot to make an observation and I trust his judgment. I’ll wait to see what he thinks. But in the meantime it just sounds to me that Roy was just practicing take offs and landings on the water and had a tragic accident. He didn’t strike me as someone who took outrageous chances, and NO, jackass on Boston radio, recreational flying is NOT an extreme sport.

I don’t say this often, but I hope the devil pisses on this dude every hour on the hour when he makes it to hell. Because he’ll definitely go there.

    • PS – touch and go’s, which can look like a “stunt” or horsing around if you aren’t familiar with it, are actually really important and part of training. Not saying that’s what Roy was doing, but just putting that out there.

  2. The Boston Herald is reporting this AM that Felger has been ordered not to discuss his comments by “his boss” (NBC). We shall see where this goes, I guess.

    • (First of all, really glad to see you here, pal.)

Who knows? I guess if hot taeks are good for the likes of Stephen A. and Skip and Cowherd and Romey, it’s good enough for this douche canoe.

      • Well, I still go on NBC frequently, and try not to let several “blame Obummer”-type jerkoffs get to me.

These days Stephen A Smith seems quite wholesome by comparison to Felger (though First Take is a tired show and needs to be shuttered…so much made-up controversy). I’m glad I don’t live close enough to Boston to get 98.5 or the Pats’ pregame that he does with Troy Brown and Ty Law, because I’d have to change the channel each weekend.

I don’t intend to listen to that Soundcloud. I don’t want to hear his disgusting fucking voice. Know that he said what he said (from different outlets) is enough for me to want him to be hit by a car.

        • I try to not be overly nasty about people. I sometimes joke about things, like my hate for MadBum, but at the end of the day I don’t want him to share a shit sandwich with Satan. This guy? Yeah. This guy is a disgrace to humanity.

You know? Doc could’ve been drag racing and weaving through traffic, drunk off lean and 4 Loko, aiming at dogs, knocking down homeless people on the street, and I still think he could’ve been a better person than this jackass.

  3. I truly think that the despicable Boston media (Shaughnessy, Felger, the morning show on WEEI, etc etc) adversely affects the players, particularly the Red Sox. Players are supposed to be professionals and not allow stuff to affect their play, but my response to that is that of course it does. So many media members want to get under the skin of athletes so that they’ll blow up and the sharks can get exposure.

(Btw, a similar note: I think Bobby Valentine was the biggest reason the Red Sox were horrible when he was managing. He threw players under the bus (most notably Youkilis) before the season even started. He was a locker room cancer that the team had to deal with all year. Players do have feelings, I don’t care what people say. Oh and btw he hadn’t managed a MLB team in 10 years. Such a foolish hiring decision.)

  4. Sorry Fam but I can’t get myself into an outrage over this. I assume that Holliday was a overall good human being and that his death is a tragedy for himself and his family. I also wonder how many wonderful human beings whose names we shall never hear have been killed in the last 48 hours by drunken drivers. I don’t need to know or care to speculate on whether or not his inevitable flaws as a human being were worse or less than mine. What’s his name to apparent effort to increase his media prominence by expressing a fake tough guy take on Holliday’s death is not an outrage but a triviality.

    • And that’s fine. Everyone reacts differently to these things. I’m angry and livid, but I also am a longtime fan of Halladay, and I am disgusted by people who use a sad, untimely death to attempt to boost ratings or seem edgy. That’s the source of my rage here.

I would feel the same if this guy made fun of a person who overdosed in a park. It’s humanity based, and not necessarily because the human in question was a baseball legend (or NASCAR legend, as he also mocked the death of Dale Earnhardt and “rooted for the wall”).
