Manny Ramirez of the Kochi Island Fighting Dogs has finally blasted his first homerun in his 11th game today in Japan this season facing against the Tokushima Indigo Socks of the Baseball Challenge league. Manny Ramirez batted 4th in the game and played as the team’s DH.

Though his team lost by a score of 2-3 against Tokushima, his team are still happy on how he’s performing with them so far hitting .300 this year, not to mention giving his fans a memorable sight with his first career homerun in Japan, showing that he can still play some ball despite his age.
Manny Ramirez’ contract with Kochi will end this upcoming July for him to pursue an opportunity to play in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), likely ending his career in Japan as an NPB player. Even with all that, the Kochi Fighting Dogs are still willing to listen regarding about some Sushi contract negotiations just for him to stay with the team.
