Guillermo Moscoso to pitch for Colombia in World Baseball Classic

Yokohama DeNA Baystars pitcher Guillermo Moscoso is a confirmed participant, and will pitch for Team Colombia this upcoming World Baseball Classic in March, though originally from Venezuela, Moscoso is still eligible to play for Colombia in the WBC according to a Venezuelan news report coming from “Notitarde”, relayed via Full-Count.

Team Colombia will be playing in Pool C in Miami, with Team USA, Canada, and Dominican Republic also in the group. His former DeNA Baystars teammate, Jamie Romak, will be playing on the Canadian side.

Former Major leaguer, Guillermo Moscoso’s role in NPB is mainly a starter, and has a career record of 17-22, and an earned run average of 4.27 in 52 games (286.2 innings pitched) in Japan, he finished his 2016 campaign with a record of 5-7 last year, and an ERA of 5.18 while appearing in 13 games.
