Zach Stewart signs with Baltimore Orioles

Former NC Dinos starting pitcher, Zach Stewart, 30 years of age, have been reported to have signed a contract with the Baltimore Orioles today… regarding about his contract details, as for now, is not yet known (but is rumored to be on a minor league deal, that might also include an invite to spring training), further updates will soon be provided once added news comes out.

Zach Stewart will be the sixth player coming from the KBO (Korean Baseball Organization) to have signed a contract with a Major league club after the 2016 KBO league season… joining alongside Josh Lindblum (Pittsburgh Pirates, minor league deal), Travis Banwart (Cleveland Indians, minor league deal), Jim Adduci (Detroit Tigers, minor league deal), Hector Gomez (Philadelphia Phillies, minor league deal) and Eric Thames (Milwaukee Brewers on a ML contract, 3yr/16 million USD deal, also Stewart’s teammate with the NC Dinos) as the other players.

Zach Stewart finished his 2016 regular season campaign with the NC Dinos with a record of 12-8, and an earned run average of 4.56 in 27 games played (150 innings pitched) in the year, as a starter. He currently owns a record 20-10, along with an earned run average of 3.73 in 46 games started (267 2/3 innings pitched), in 2 seasons playing in the KBO hitter-friendly league.
