Chicago White Sox right-handed pitcher, Jorge Rondon, 28, will be playing his next season in NPB (Nippon Professional Baseball) with the Chunichi Dragons of the Central league, an announcement was made just today. According to the report, it’s a one-year deal for Rondon, though other contract details (regarding annual salary) is still unknown at the moment… but will soon be released in a few days, he will most likely be used a reliever (while also making some starts) for the upcoming season.
The Venezuelan born Jorge Rondon played for 3 years there at the Major league level (with the Cardinals, Rockies, Orioles, and Pirates respectively). He currently owns a record of 0-1 along with an earned run average of 13.26 in 13 games played (19 innings pitched) in his big league career, as a reliever. He recently signed a minor league deal with the White Sox this December 13th after being designated for assignment by the Pittsburgh Pirates back in June 24th of this year.
