Japan, Lee Dae-ho’s possible destination

Free Agent 1B/DH Lee Dae-ho, 34, might be headed to play in Japan again for next season. According to the report, teams in the NPB (Nippon Professional Baseball) expressed serious interest in signing the former league slugger Lee on what could be a multi-year deal this off-season (most notably the Chiba Lotte Marines), and Lee himself, also, have shown interest in coming back… KBO (Korean Baseball Organization) league teams too have also shown interest in Lee this off-season, especially his former team the Busan Lotte Giants, but prefers the NPB rather than the KBO as his next destination.

In his first season in the big leagues, Lee Dae-ho posted average numbers batting .253/.312/.428 with 14 homeruns and 49 RBI in 104 games played with the Seattle Mariners as back up for Adam Lind. Lee preformed really well early in the season during the 1st half batting .288/.330/.514 with 12 homeruns and 37 RBI, also providing his team some memorable clutch moments, eventually becoming a fan favorite in Seattle… but struggled mightily in the 2nd half, batting only .200/287/.296 with 2 homeruns and 12 RBI.
