Jim Adduci signs minor league deal with Detroit Tigers

The Detroit Tigers have announced today that they have signed outfielder Jim Adduci on a minor league deal which also includes a spring training invite, according to the report… He last appeared in the Major leagues with the Texas Rangers back in 2014, he then went to play for the Busan Lotte Giants in the KBO (Korean Baseball Organization) after being released by his former team.

Jim Adduci batted .307/.373/.530 with 35 homeruns and 147 RBI in 196 games played overall in 2 years combined with Busan  (2015-2016) in the hitter friendly league. He was released by the Giants in the middle of the season this year after a failed doping test, in which he tested positive for Oxycodone (a banned substance in Korea), he finished his 2016 campaign batting .291/.342/.474 with 7 homeruns and 41 RBI in 64 games.
