Ryan Brasier signs with Hiroshima Toyo Carp

Right-handed pitcher Ryan Brasier, 29, will be playing his next season in NPB (Nippon Professional Baseball) with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of the Central league, an official announcement was made just today. The contract details for Brasier was said be on a one-year deal worth an estimated 56 million Yen (475,000 USD in annual salary), he will also wear the jersey number 70, according to the report.

Ryan Brasier only played for a year there at the Major league level with the Los Angeles Angels in year 2013, where he posted a record of 0-0, and an earned run average of 2.00 in 7 games played (9 innings pitched) with the team, primarily as a reliever. He signed a minor league contract with the Oakland A’s last year in July 7, but was eventually released this December to play overseas.
