Josh Lindblum signs minor league deal with Pittsburgh Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates announced today that they have signed right-handed pitcher Josh Lindblum to a minor league deal that also includes an invitation to spring training. Lindblum recently asked his KBO (Korean Baseball Organization) team Busan Lotte Giants for his release in early December of this year to stay close with his ailing daughter in the United States.

He finished his 2016 regular season campaign with the Giants posting a record of 10-13, and an earned run average of 5.28 in 30 games played (177 1/3 innings pitched) with the team, as a starter. He currently owns a record of 23-24 with an earned run average of 4.35 in 62 games (387 1/3 innings pitched) for 2 seasons playing in the KBO.
