Parker Markel signs with Busan Lotte Giants

RH pitcher, Parker Markel, 26, will be playing his next season in the KBO (Korean Baseball Organization) with the Busan Lotte Giants, an announcement was made just today. According to the report, the contract details for Markel was said to be on a one-year deal worth an estimated 610 million Won (525,000 USD in annual salary). He will replace starting pitcher Josh Lindblom (who asked for his release to remain with his ailing daughter back in the US) in the rotation.

The righty Parker Markel played for 7 seasons there at the minor league level with the Tampa Bay Rays organization, he currently owns a record of 34-26 along with an earned run average of 3.99 in 197 games played (54 games in which he started, 466.1 innings pitched) in his minor league career.
