His agent is currently in the US right now, but haven’t heard any positive news from him since… Wang, who is currently a free agent after being designated by the Royals team for assignment back in September, stated that he has no interest in signing with any foreign clubs other than MLB. He recently just returned home (yesterday), for a month long stay in his country to rest.
The Taiwan native Wang played for 9 years there at the Major league level, most notably with the New York Yankees, he currently owns a record of 68-34, along with an earned run average of 4.36 in 174 games played (126 games in which he started, 845.2 innings pitched) in his big league career. He finished his 2016 campaign with the Royals posting a 6-0 record, an earned run average of 4.22 while appearing in 38 games (53.1 innings pitched) for them in the regular season, as a reliever.
