Thanks to faithful FC for the heads up – I saw a fake tweet on twitter from a fake Jon Heyman, but Neil Walker just posted this, and since he’s the actual athlete, I think I can believe him.
Walker had surgery to repair a herniated disk at the end of the season. The Mets’ qualifying offer was 17.2M.
Happy for Neil, as he liked it in New York and meshed well with the guys. However, I’m kinda sad he didn’t go to Texas because I have always wanted to say, Neil Walker – Texas Ranger. [insert cheesy guitar riff here]
