Ozzie Guillen is interested in managing a team in the KBO

Former White Sox and Marlins manager, Ozzie Guillen, said in an interview this week, according the SBS sports Korea, that he is interested in managing a team in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO)… Lee Man-soo, a former SK Wyverns coach, who was also a coach in the Major leagues with the Chicago White Sox in year 2000-2007, introduced him the idea when the two were still in the organization.

With Korean Baseball’s style of play, and their fans having the atmosphere and energy same as those in Latin America, it has caught Ozzie Guillen’s attention, and curiosity to manage a team in another country that reminds him of his own… And with a record of more than 700 wins in the Major leagues to show for, how could any team in the KBO say no to that?

If ever Ozzie Guillen will be able to manage a team in the KBO, he’ll be just the second ever foreign manager in history to manage a team in their league… with Jerry Royster being the first, manager for the Busan Lotte Giants in year 2007-10.
