Frenchy Watch, Day X-1: Feesh Score! Frenchy to Macondo for Minor League Catcher Cash Davis!

While El Keed was shutting down the red-hot Royals, the Feesh front orifice were eating cake. Jeff Francoeur, continuing his tour of major league coffee bars, was traded to the Rainbow Warriors tonight for Rookie League catcher Matt Foley and “cash considerations.”

Jeff Francoeur

  1. He will endear you with his heroism before you know it! He will buy the people behind him popcorn, he will probably make a couple plays with 20/20 hindsight, kinda, sorta maybe helped win the game, maybe he’s gonna bunt with a man on third, or maybe hit four of the six homers he has left this season in the first few games. Then what have you got? An extremely nice ballplayer who is easy to root for because he’s SO Damn nice…..

    And scene.

You however fell into the fucking trap any of his former teams fans fell for, being outside of probably a guy who I would let my daughter marry isn’t that good of a MLB player. If he goes on a tear and hits seven homers in his Marlins circle-jerk for relevance….. then I hope Boston signs him to replace Papi because he incites hopes and wild speculation that us crazy fans can somehow talk ourselves into.

      • I’m wondering if he’ll hang around long enough to learn Kreyol. Cheap, mediocre ballplayers are like parsley garnish on vichyssoise to Scrooge McLoria.

Here’s how the Feesh team site presented the Good News: “The Marlins didn’t necessarily find a replacement for Giancarlo Stanton (emphasis mine), but the club on Wednesday night acquired a veteran who presents a right-handed-hitting threat in Jeff Francoeur from the Braves….” Whereby the Rainbow Warriors front orifice reassures us, in this season of nauseating campaign hyperbole, that understatement is not yet dead.

Even so, like the thrall Slappy thinketh I am, I’m so excited. Frenchy is here at last! Frenchy is here at last! Frenchy is here at last! Frenchy is here at last!
