Bucs Overboard in Mute Nostril Agony. Feesh Behold Glimmer of False Hope at the end of a Harpoon.

Go figger. The Feesh tanked bigtime against the lowly Cincinnati Reds, blowing three out of four, and then come back and put a whuppin’ on the Bucs, sweeping a three game series and heading home from a 4-3 road trip to face the Royals at Macondo Banana Massacre Field.

In all fairness to the Rainbow Warriors, the Pirates played the entire series in hallowed dog days of summer fashion. They seemed to drag themselves up to the plate like they had a load in their pants, and their fielding wasn’t much better. Christian Yelich absolutely murdered a dinger to dead center, but the Feesh’s deciding runs today scored on errors and wild pitches, and the Bucs didn’t seem especially interested in binding their wounds or making up ground.

Is rust contagious?

A J Ramos returned and pitched a 1-2-3 eighth inning, wonky middle finger and all, and the ancient Fernando Rodney got through the ninth with one walk for the ween. As things stand this evening the Rainbow Warriors and 65-59 still trail the Cardinals by 1.5 in the wildcard race with the Bucs falling to 3 games out. They get a day orf tomorrow
