Baltimore – acquired utilityman Steve Pearce from TB for catcher Jonah Heim.
Boston – traded RHP Pat Light to Minnesota for LHP Fernando Abad.
Chicago (Cubs) – Traded RHP Jesus Castillo to Los Angeles (Angels) for RHP Joe Smith.
Cincinnati – Traded OF Jay Bruce to New York (Mets) for INF Dilson Herrera and LHP Max Wotell.
Houston – Traded RHP Scott Feldman to Toronto for RHP Lupe Chavez. Acquired RHP Josh Fields from Los Angeles (Dodgers) for 1B Yordan Alvarez.
Los Angeles (Dodgers) – Traded RHP Mike Bolsinger to Toronto for RHP Jesse Chavez plus cash considerations.
Milwaukee – Traded LHP Will Smith to San Francisco for RHP Phil Bickford and catcher Andrew Susac.
Minnesota – Traded RHP Ricky Nolasco and RHP Alex Meyer, plus cash considerations, to Los Angeles (Angels) for LHP Hector Santiago and RHP Alan Busenitz.
New York (Yankees) – Traded OF Carlos Beltran and cash to Texas for RHP Dillon Tate, RHP Erik Swanson, and RHP Nick Green. Traded Ivan Nova to Pittsburgh for two players to be named later.
Oakland – Traded OF Josh Reddick and LHP Rich Hill to Los Angeles (Dodgers) for RHP Jharel Cotton, RHP Grant Holmes, and RHP Frankie Montas.
Pittsburgh – Acquired Antonio Bastardo and cash consideration from New York (Mets) for LHP Jonathon Niese. Traded LHP Francisco Liriano, catcher Reese McGuire, and OF Harold Ramirez to Toronto for RHP Drew Hutchison.
San Diego – Traded RHP Luis Castillo to Miami for RHP Colin Rea (basically voiding a trade from earlier in July involving these two).
Tampa Bay – Traded OF Brandon Guyer to Cleveland for OF Nathan Lukes and RHP Jhonleider Salinas. Traded Matt Moore to San Francisco for 3B Matt Duffy, SS Lucius Fox, and RHP Michael Santos.
Texas – Acquired catcher Jonathan Lucroy and RHP Jeremy Jeffress from Milwaukee for OF Lewis Brinson, RHP Luis Ortiz, and a player to be named later.

I don’t get the Steve Pearce trade. At. All. I also don’t get why Toronto picked up more starting pitching than the Orioles. Yankees cleaned up and we will all regret giving them so damn much in a few years.

Prof- the trade off the day was Nolasco and Meyer to the Angels for Hector Santiago and that other minor league pitcher. Good for Rob Antony for pulling that off. Adios Ricky!

Just for total accuracy. The Astros sent Josh Fields out. He was already at AAA with an MLB salary and they dumped him. Real fireballer, but never can find the plate.
OMG! Did you see what the Rangers did? Thank God they didn’t get their starter, because they just got that much harder to catch.

I disagree, with Lucroy they now have a fine catcher, making it easier to catch for all those starting pitchers.. Oh you mean catch them in the standings…
