There’s too much hate in this world.
There’s too much.
It’s overwhelming. It’s terrible. I’m in tears, wondering what happened to this world we live in.
In times like this, it’s easy to say that sports don’t matter, that they are insignificant. And yes, that’s true. In the scheme of things, they don’t. But we can’t allow hate to swallow us, to blot out the sun, to make us forget what can draw us together.
We’re human beings. The same blood runs in our veins. Yes, there are differences, and we need to be cognizant of them, but at the end of the day we’re all people.
I’m not going to let hateful people steal my joy. That’s one reason why I write the Snack every night, to try to bring a smile to your day. A laugh. Something positive in a world that can be so dark and sorrowful. That’s why I’m going to continue to bring you the silly stuff, the fun stuff, the lighter things. Because if we dwell on the bad, the evil, the horrible things, we will lose focus on what the world should be – a beautiful place.
One day the lion shall lay down with the lamb. But maybe not this lamb. And maybe not Jake Lamb.
Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
I’m going to spread love wherever I go, much like the Phanatic brings trolliness and pranks to people far and wide.
Love y’all. Be good to one another.
