Weekend Express – Scores for 7/2/16

There were some crazy, crazy games last night.

Rangers 5, Twins 17 That’s right – the team with the worst record in baseball just put a massive hurtin’ on the team with the best record in baseball. But you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Brewers 0, Cardinals 3

Royals 6, Phillies 2

Cubs 3, Mets 4

Pirates 4, Athletics 2 F/10

Orioles 6, Mariners 12

Rockies 1, Dodgers 6

Marlins 1, Braves 9 El Keed looked like an impostor as the Braves continue to dominate Miami this year.

Indians 6, Blue Jays 9

White Sox 7, Astros 6

Tigers 3, Rays 2

Angels 21, Red Sox 2. No, that’s not a typo. The Angels put up 11 in the bottom of the 7th alone. And y’all thought the Twins game was bad.

Reds 9, Nationals 4 F/10.

Yankees 1, Padres 2

Giants 5, D’Backs 6

Please elaborate on your team’s win/loss in the comments. Or just talk about the bottom of the seventh in that Angels/Red Sox game, because dang.

  1. RIP Little Sexy Fire’s flash. The Tigers and specifically Alan Trammell have been working with Iggy on his defense, which has been exciting to watch in previous seasons but not stellar per the stats. He looked good doing what he did, but the Tigers want less flash and more results…which…you know…good. But, he’s less fun to watch a lot this season because he’s not doing the crazy moves. His dWAR is better but it’s still not 1. So, I guess we benefit some from playing the right way but not enough that I don’t miss the highlight reel moves and excitement. Why they gotta kill the Latin flash, man?
