IT’S NATIONAL MASCOT DAY, Y’ALL!!! Otherwise known as THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAAAAARRRRRRRR for yours truly.
As you know, there are a few things I love more than anything in this world. Things I’m super passionate about. I mean, you all know what I’m about. There used to be a game online where people would say “what five things would you use to summon username?” and I can almost guarantee that the F.I. fam would know five things you could use to summon me. And one of those things?
First of all, TC Bear is amazing. He’s cute. He’s sassy. He cares about his fans. He can tweet with those big ol’ paws. And he’s a two sport bear! Don’t believe me?
Rangers Captain is a horse, of course, but he’s also a fun loving, friendly, furry mascot who loves to hug! R.C. is like the Freddie Freeman or Dan Uggla of mascots, always hugging. He can’t keep his hooves off of people! And even players aren’t safe, as Mike Trout found out!
Remember when Clark the Cub rocked Jake Arrieta’s onesie?
BEARrieta. SO CUTE!
Dancing Paws the Tiger? Bring it!
D. Baxter the Bobcat might look creepy, but inside that feline is a heart of gold. Baxter is probably one of the most dedicated mascots in MLB. His devotion to fans of all stripes is awesome to see. During the All Star Game in 2014 in Minneapolis, Baxter was seen during the parade interacting with old people, adults with special needs, sick children, and anyone who needed a little bit of mascot love. Baxter took time out and interacted one on one with the fans, and isn’t that what mascots are all about? Spreading joy and happiness to everyone? I might hate his team, but I am a fan of Baxter.
And squad goals? Hell yeah, squad goals! Here’s my entire mascot fam in one photo.
