The Midnight Snack – Friday

When you read this, I’ll be in bed. Why? Because I have to get up no later than 3:45 am in order to get to the airport on time. And where am I headed? To meet up with some of the fabulous weirdos that call F.I. home. As usual, there is a ban on photos of me, but there will be pictures of the festivities. I’ll add the Ted photos to the ones I took at Camden Yards to have a Super Baseball Photo Post sometime later next week.

In the meantime, let’s get the weekend started with some awesomeness.

First of all, as everyone knows, I am a polyamorous baseball fan. I love both the Braves and the Cubs, and I don’t think I would be able to choose between them. Of course, that’s why Kevin S. and Inda decided that this weekend should be the one we meet up in Atlanta for, because that’s who’s playing.

Well, Rizzo is day to day with a messed up back, the Braves actually won tonight on a good Bud Norris performance (!?!?), and tomorrow WE GON’ SEE A TRUE ACE. That’s right, Jake Arrieta in the house! I’m PSYCHED.

But I don’t care because regardless of who wins, I WIN TOO. Seriously, get you another baseball team to love, makes your life so much better.

Now, this is cool.

Eff you, Jobu.

This is even cooler.

A lot of people say that Cavan Biggio is a little slow and draws a lot of walks but, hey, his dad had a lot of people who doubted him, too, and he was able to successfully play three different positions during his long career and is a Hall of Famer. (Craig Biggio is one of my all time favorite players who isn’t a pitcher and probably top five “never been on my team” players of any position, so forgive me for loving me some Biggio.)

Have a super awesome weekend, fam. I plan on doing so. Also, I plan on eating a damn funnel cake because I didn’t have one on the beach because I was so stuffed from a crab cake dinner that I couldn’t find any kind of room to have a funnel cake. Funnel cakes forever.
