Soon to be Major leaguer, Shohei Otani just homered in back to back days

(Must watch video, Shohei Otani’s first homerun in the NPB regular season this week, March 29, 2016)

(Shohei Otani’s second homerun in the regular season this week, March 30, 2016)

Ace starting pitcher (and also a right fielder/DH) of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, Shohei Otani (21 years old), just made some pretty cool history this week, becoming the only pitcher/position player in NPB history to hit a homer (against the Orix Buffaloes series at Sapporo Dome) in back to back days in the first week of the regular season, he was the team’s starter in their opening game back at March 25, and here in this game… as the team’s DH.

The first homerun he hit this regular season was a three-run shot to the opposite field (5th inning) off Orix starter Yuki Nishi in the first video above, in that game against the Orix Buffaloes by the way, he was the only player to hit a homer in their lineup, he finished the game 2 for 3 (5 RBI’s in the night). In the second video, he blasted a two-run shot to dead central against Orix Buffaloes starter Daiki Tomei at the bottom of the 6th inning, he finished the night going 1 for 4, also the only player who homered in their lineup. So far in the current ongoing NPB season, Shohei Otani is batting .429/1.286/.375 in 4 games (7 AB’s)… 2 homeruns and 7 RBI’s in the ongoing season (all of those are from his 3 hits). Small sample size but man… still a truly awesome sight to see. Regarding about his pitching stats this season, he is still 0-1, but knowing him, there’s no doubt he’ll finish the season strong. 3 years left for him to be eligible for posting.

Hideki Kuriyama, manager of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, will be using Shohei Otani as a position player three times a week this regular season… For example: If Otani gets a start on Saturday, he would rest on Sunday and Monday, play in games as a position player on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and rest on Friday.

Question, know any other pitcher/position player who homered in back to back days there in the MLB?

How have you been posting without my gift of being awesome?

Anyhow, remember how I needed you to wire me money so your last post wasn’t a shitshow? Well, I need you to really put some effort into it this time, like really, I’m talking about slavery….. not bad slavery…..but like slavery that involves putting your personal enemies into eternal devastation and endless punishment for their own children for generations…….you know……happy capitalism?😊

SO….if you need any enemies vanquished…..PM me and I am there!

    • OMG, Ren….I forgot to tell you…. I have a penis, therefore I am a unimpeachable source by virtue of having a shlong! It may be small but at least it’s thin!

Whew, glad that’s out of the way!
