ESPN’s Pedro Gomez is reporting that Yasiel Puig is not expected to be suspended for an alleged domestic violence incident involving his sister back in November. Gomez’s sources are those familiar with MLB’s investigation of the case.
Last November, Puig was involved in a fight with a bouncer in a Miami bar, and allegedly, during the fight, Puig’s sister was shoved. No charges were filed. While the investigation is not closed, nothing has been found that “would warrant a suspension” according to sources.
So far, it seems to me like justice from our new commissioner has been swift and fair.
We await news on Jose Reyes.
