Trade – Yonder Alonso to OAK, Drew Pomeranz to SD

Oakland receives Yonder Alonso.  San Diego receives Drew Pomeranz.

There seems to be some disagreement and/or uncertainty as to the other players, if any, that will be involved.

Mostly, I just wanted an excuse to use my Monty Hall image again.  So yay for me.

ScoutsEdit: Just to provide a little additional background info:

Yonder Alonso is a 28 year old First Baseman who went .282/.361/.381/.742 with 5 Home Runs last season.

Drew Pomeranz is a 27 year old pitcher who went 5-6 with a 3.66 ERA had 82 K, 31BB, over 86 innings.  He had a 1.186 WHIP and a FIP of 3.62.

  1. Let’s make a deal!

“David Price, come on down here. Behind Door No. 1 is a shiny new contract from the Boston Red Sox. Behind Door No. 1 is as almost a shiny contract with the St. Louis Cardinals, with a side door marked “Playoffs” on it. Behind Door No. 3? Don’t ask.”
